Bonjour,
I just installed your deb on a 32-bit ubuntu 8.04 machine. It brought up the splash screen, loaded various libraries then segfaulted.
I then ran it again - another segfault. Again, and it worked!
The frustrating thing is that it does not reliably produce the same error.
Although I haven't tested it much, it does seem to be working.

I had the same problem (segfault) and then I restarted MainActor with the -d option on the command line and it worked... Since I don't have access to source code (yet), I guess we will have to leave with that bug! :)

Just signed the petition and installed your .deb
install take few seconds, un and run other few seconds, effects / transitions intensive test with strange (compressed) minivideos.
No errors yet, no crash. No Capture too .. ;)
ATI HD2600 Pro, Interl CoreDuo 2, 2Gig of RAM on Ubuntu 8.04 ( Gnome ).
We need a free version along a PRO Version (proprietary modules, effects, etc).
An opensource dev. environment with MainConcept engineers + community developers can rich the sky.
The only problem is IF they sold the code AND all rights to russian company OR not...
Else this is a very verified economic model [ well modded == no failures ] -> Mozilla, Blender, OpenOffice, Zimbra ...Linux in general.

I've cracked MainActor 5.5-37, instruction included.

Application will work with any serial, only 2 bytes was changed so this is safe crack ;P
I know that piracy is bad, but this program isn't supported, so download and unlock ;)
